Monitoring the Opening/Closing Function

Presentation

Monitoring of the opening/closing function by the MicroLogic X control unit consists in:

oMonitoring the communicating voltage releases:

oThe diagnostic MN undervoltage release (MN diag).

oThe diagnostic and communicating MX opening voltage release (MX diag&com).

oThe diagnostic and communicating XF closing voltage release (XF diag&com).

oMonitoring the MCH gear motor.

NOTE: Standard voltage releases are not monitored by the MicroLogic X control unit.

Monitoring the Communicating Voltage Releases

The MicroLogic X control unit:

oChecks the presence of voltage release

oCounts the number of operations performed by the voltage release

oGenerates an event when:

oThe voltage release reaches 80% of recommended maximum number of operations

oThe voltage release reaches 100% of recommended maximum number of operations

oMonitors the state of the internal circuit of the voltage release

For more information about the recommended number of operations, refer to DOCA0099EN MasterPact MTZ - Circuit Breakers and Switch-Disconnectors - Maintenance Guide.

Monitoring the MCH Gear Motor

The MicroLogic X control unit:

oCounts the number of charging sequences performed to rearm the closing mechanism after each circuit breaker closure.

oMeasures and records the last charging time of the MCH gear motor to rearm the closing mechanism.

oGenerates an event when:

oMCH gear motor reaches 80% of recommended maximum number of charging operations

oMCH gear motor reaches 100% of recommended maximum number of charging operations

For more information about the recommended number of operations, refer to DOCA0099EN MasterPact MTZ - Circuit Breakers and Switch-Disconnectors - Maintenance Guide.

Data Availability

The MCH gear motor data is available as follows:

oOn the MicroLogic X display screen, at: Home > Maintenance > Health > Actuator wear

oOn a remote controller using the communication network
