Deleting a device
Delete a device if it is no longer needed, for example if the device has been removed from service.
NOTE: When a device is deleted in Device Manager it is marked as Historical device in the system and removed from the default view of the devices table. All historical data associated with the deleted device remains in the system and is still available for analysis and reporting.
TIP: Adjust the filter options in the devices grid in Device Manager to see Historical devices in the system. See Device Manager user interface for details on the Devices filter.
To delete a device:
- In Device Manager, select the Devices tab.
- In the devices table, select the row of the device you want to delete, then right-click in the row and select Delete Device in the context menu. This opens the Delete Device confirmation dialog.
- In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
To delete multiple devices:
- In Device Manager, select the Devices tab.
- In the devices table, select the rows of the devices you want to delete, then right-click in the selected row area and select Delete <number> Devices in the context menu. This opens the Delete Device confirmation dialog.
TIP: Use
Ctrl+Click
to select individual devices, useShift+click
to select a block of devices. - In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
