Removing an I/O device from a project
To remove an I/O device:
- Open I/O Device Manager.
- Select Remove one I/O device, then select Next.
- At the Remove a device screen:
- Select the drop down menu to display the equipment names that were used when the device profiles were previously added to the project.
- From this list, select the device that you want to remove. Select Next.
- At the Ready to perform action screen:
- (Optional) Compress the project files after removing this profile, select Pack databases.
- Select Next.
After the device is deleted, a screen displays telling you that the project was updated successfully.
- To view a detailed list of the devices that you added or deleted, select View audit log. The list shows all the device data that was added, and the data that was removed in this session. (The list displays after you select Finish.)
- To remove additional devices, select Add/remove more devices, then select Next.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4.
- When you have finished removing devices, uncheck Add/remove more equipment, then select Finish.
If you clicked View audit, the list displays.
If you did not select Add/remove, the I/O Device Manager closes. If you clicked Add/remove, the Welcome screen displays again.
- Compile the project. Correct any compile errors and then compile the project again.
