Learn more about Graphics Editor installation

The following topic provides information about installing Graphics Editor.

Installing Graphics Editor independently on a machine without Power Operation

Graphics Editor can be installed without Power Operation core components, but it will have limited functionality. Graphics Editor will not be able to locate its project, configuration data, or platform services when opening, resulting in the following error message:

"Unable to connect to platform services. Graphics Editor will continue to function, but with limited functionality."

NOTE: If you receive this error despite installing Graphics Editor with Power Operation, it is because the current Windows user does not have the necessary permissions to open the application. To resolve this issue, run Graphics Editor as an Administrator.

Installing Graphics Editor first, followed by an unsupported version of Power Operation later

This is not recommended. After Power Operation is installed, the previously-installed version of Graphics Editor will behave abnormally. If this occurs, it is recommended that you uninstall Graphics Editor and then install Power Operation.

NOTE: It is not recommended to install the version of Graphics Editor released with Power Operation 2024 with any previous versions of Power Operation.
