Drawing a Polyline
Use the Graphics Editor Polyline tool to draw a line with several nodes, that is, a line with angles.
You can set fill, stroke, style and line width to achieve a certain appearance of the polyline.
You draw a polyline to get a figure that consists of two or more connected line segments.
To draw a polyline:
- In Graphics Editor, in the Layers pane, select the layer where you want to draw the polyline.
- On the Drawing toolbar, click Polyline.
- In the work area, drag from where you want the polyline to start and click for each new line segment you want to add.
- Double-click to finish the polyline.
- On the Drawing toolbar, click Select.
- In the Properties pane, in the Name box, type the name of the polyline.
- On the Options toolbar, or in the Properties pane, adjust the appearance of the curve.
- On the File menu, click Save.
NOTE: You have to add a new segment for every turn of the polyline.
NOTE: You only need to name the drawing object if you will be binding the object. Naming the object now will help you identify the object later.
