Box iPC Universal and Performance (HMIBMU/HMIBMP) mSATA Card Installation
The Box iPC operating system views the mSATA card as a hard disk. Proper handling and care of the mSATA card helps extend the life of the card. Familiarize yourself with the card before attempting insertion or removal of the card.
The Box iPC supports three types of SATA devices and four SATA ports.The table shows the STATA device configuration:

Before installing or removing a card, shut down Windows operating system in an orderly fashion and remove all power from the device.

oRemove all power from the device before removing any covers or elements of the system, and prior to installing or removing any accessories, hardware, or cables. oUnplug the power cable from both the Magelis Industrial PC and the power supply. oAlways use a properly rated voltage sensing device to confirm that power is off. oReplace and secure all covers or elements of the system before applying power to the unit. oUse only the specified voltage when operating the Magelis Industrial PC. The AC unit is designed to use 100...240 Vac input. The DC unit is designed to use 24 Vdc input. Always check whether your device is AC or DC powered before applying power. |

MEMORY CARD DAMAGE AND DATA LOSS |

oRemove all power before making any contact with an installed memory card. oUse only memory cards sold by Schneider Electric as accessory for this product. The performance of the Magelis Industrial PC has not been tested using memory cards from other manufacturers. oConfirm that the memory card is correctly oriented before insertion. oDo not bend, drop, or strike the memory card. oDo not touch the memory card connectors. oDo not disassemble or modify the memory card. oKeep the memory card dry. |

Touch the housing or ground connection (not the power supply) to discharge any electrostatic charge from your body. |

Unscrew the nine screws from the cover and remove it:

Insert the mSATA card firmly into the card slot and fasten it with two screws:

Replace the cover and fasten it with nine screws: 
NOTE: The recommended torque to tighten these screws is 0.5 Nm (4.5 lb-in). |
