The System Project > Save to Repository command is only available when you are working in an application project that is part of a system project.
Execute the Save to Repository command when you have locally modified an application project that is part of a system project and you want to publish the modifications for other users or for use in other software programs.
Result: The modified system project is copied back to the system repository that has been defined in the System Explorer dialog box with the parameter System Location. The system project will then be available for edit by other users.
Locally Saving Application Projects
In contrast to the Save to Repository command, you can use the save commands from the File menu to save the application project that is part of a system project locally.
Executing the File > Save Project command saves the open application project to the working directory on your local PC. The modifications are not published to the system project and therefore not visible to other users. The project is still indicated as locked to other users of the repository.
Executing the File > Save Project As... command creates a copy of the open application project in the folder you define. This new project is an independent EcoStruxure Machine Expert Logic Builder .project file without a relation to a system project.
