EtherCAT - PROFINET IO Controller Terminal EL6631

CODESYS supports the EL6631 device from Beckhoff, which provides a gateway from EtherCAT to a PROFINET IO controller. After adding the gateway below the EK1100 EtherCAT coupler, you can configure it like an ordinary EtherCAT slave.

When you add the gateway, a PROFINET controller node is inserted automatically. This PROFINET IO controller functions like a standard PROFINET IO controller.

Below the PROFINET IO controller, insert the PROFINET IO devices and modules that you have installed into the device repository via GSDML import. In the editor dialogs, you can set the typical PROFIBUS parameters and I/O channels.

By clicking Scan Devices, which is provided for the EL6631 device, you can add PROFINET IO devices automatically below the PROFINET IO controller in the device tree.
