The PTOHome and PTOEnhancedHome function blocks are used to set the axis to a reference position.
The Short Cam with Positive Limit homing method uses the two homing-specific inputs:
oThe PROX input, used as the positive limit signal: On the rising edge of the signal (negative side), the axis must change direction.
oThe Origin (Cam) input.
The following diagram illustrates the Short Cam with Positive Limit homing method:
The reference point is preset at the negative side of the Cam, when coming in positive direction (off Cam) at low velocity.
NOTE: If the function is initiated when the Origin input = 1, indicating that the axis is already at the reference position, an error is detected and the command is aborted.
The following errors can be detected:
oWhen the PROX input is enabled, an error is reported in the LIMIT_FLT status object when the limit is crossed.
oWhen the axis is off the Cam and direction is set forward (positive velocity), the homing function will not be executed and an error will be reported in the HOMING_FLT status object.
