oDisconnect all power from all equipment including connected devices prior to removing any covers or doors, or installing or removing any accessories, hardware, cables, or wires except under the specific conditions specified in the appropriate hardware guide for this equipment.

oAlways use a properly rated voltage sensing device to confirm the power is off where and when indicated.

oReplace and secure all covers, accessories, hardware, cables, and wires and confirm that a proper ground connection exists before applying power to the unit.

oUse only the specified voltage when operating this equipment and any associated products.

ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE

oStore electronic components in their protective packaging until immediately before assembly.

oOnly touch modules on the housing.

oTake the necessary protective measures against electrostatic discharges.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.

Remove bus base, the electronic modules and terminal block from protective packaging. Verify for visible mechanical damage.

Insert interface electronic module in the slot of the bus base.

Push the interface electronic module straight into the bus base until it clicks.

Insert the IPDM electronic module in the guides of the bus base.

Push the electronic module straight into the bus base until it clicks.

Hang the bottom edge of the terminal block in its hinge on the bus base.

Rotate upward.

Press the terminal block until it clicks in place.

Push the locking lever all the way up on all of the bus base. This opens the locking mechanism.

Hang the Sercos III Bus Interface in the desired position on the mounting rail.

Close the locking mechanism by pushing the lever down.
