Advantage of TM5 Encoder Output Compared to BT-4/ENC Encoder Output
The TM5 Encoder Output and the BT-4/ENC encoder output emulation have a different behavior when switching the processing of the encoder off and on again using the Enable parameter.
ZeroTrack Generation After Disabling and Re-Enabling The Encoder Object
Behavior of the BT-4/ENC Encoder Output
The BT-4/ENC module has a restriction in handling reinitialization: If the Enable parameter is switched to off / 0 and on / 1 again, the ZeroTrack generated by the BT-4/ENC module is not generated correctly any more. This is caused by a hardware limitation of the BT-4/ENC module. The hardware of the BT-4/ENC module must be switched off and on in addition to correctly generate the ZeroTrack.
Behavior of the TM5 Encoder Output
In contrast to the BT-4/ENC module, the TM5SE1MISC20005 module correctly handles the reinitialization. After switching the Enable parameter to off / 0 and on / 1 again, the ZeroTrack is generated correctly.
