An external braking resistor is necessary. |
Information |
Motion Sizer calculations have shown that the excess power that results from braking processes due to the configured motion and mechanics is larger than the braking power that can be consumed by the internal braking resistor.
If you designed your motion process according to the parameters you entered, the excess power could not be consumed by the internal braking resistor.
Add an external braking resistor to your application. The minimum size (in W) of the external braking resistor is indicated in the Power Circuit editor.
To reduce excess power within your application, you can also couple the internal DC buses, if this is supported by the drives you are using (for example, Lexium 32).
You can also reduce excess power by trying to optimize the motion and / or mechanics parameters of your application. Use the X Offset value of the Motion diagram, to achieve this.
