The Simple type is a single input counter.
A Simple type HSC can count-up/count-down to/from a predefined value.
Actions can be programmed when the count is reached. These actions are done in the context of the programmed task (Mast or fast), but does not trigger an event.
The Simple type supports 2 configurable counting modes on single-phase pulses:
One-shot. In this mode, the counter current value register decrements (from a user-defined value) for each pulse applied to A input, until the counter reaches 0.
Modulo-loop. In this mode, the counter repeatedly counts from 0 to a user-defined modulo value then returns to 0 and restarts counting.
The maximum frequency for the Simple type is 100 kHz.
The maximum frequency for the Simple type with TM218LDA16DRN, TM218LDA24DRN, TM218LDA40DRN and TM218LDA60DRN is 10 kHz.
