Cleaning

Overview

Care must be taken with cleaning products as some active agents may have harmful effects on the material of the actuator.

NOTICE

CORROSION CAUSED BY CLEANING AGENTS

oPerform a compatibility test in relation to the cleaning agent and the component affected before using a cleaning agent.

oDo not use alkaline detergent in the interior of the mechanics.

oDo not use any chloride-containing cleaning agents.

oDo not use any sulphuric acid containing detergent.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.

Cleaning the Actuator

The actuator must be inspected, large particles and dirt must be removed from the surface, and the actuator must be cleaned at regular intervals. When cleaning the actuator, note the following:

oDo not use compressed air for cleaning.

oThe anodized surface only has a limited resistance to alkaline cleaning agents. Therefore, use only neutral cleaning agents for cleaning.

oUse only damp, soft, and lint-free cleaning cloths to wipe the surface.

NOTE: Depending on the operating conditions and requirements, verifying and cleaning may be necessary on a more frequent basis.
