The motion of an axis can be described with motion diagrams. There are different types of motion diagrams, which use different parameters to describe the motion.
Motion Sizer converts each motion diagram into a profile of 360 equidistant position values. Any further calculations are based on this profile. The restriction to 360 values limits the resolution of motion that is considered in calculations (also consider the sampling theorem principle).
This chapter describes the different types of motion diagrams that are available in Motion Sizer.
The motion diagram used in calculations is defined in the mechanics, as part of the load case parameters.
