EtherCAT - PROFIBUS DP Master Terminal EL6731

CODESYS supports the EL6731 device from Beckhoff, which provides a gateway from EtherCAT to a PROFIBUS DP master. After adding the gateway below the EK1100 EtherCAT coupler, you can configure it like an ordinary EtherCAT slave.

When you add the gateway, a PROFIBUS DP master node (EL6731-PB Master) is inserted automatically. This PROFIBUS DP master functions like a standard PROFIBUS DP master.

Below the PROFIBUS DP master, insert the PROFIBUS DP slaves and modules that you have installed into the device repository via GSD import. In the editor dialogs, you can set the typical PROFIBUS DP parameters and I/O channels.

By clicking Scan Devices, which is provided for the EL6731_PB device, you can add PROFIBUS DP devices automatically below the PROFIBUS DP master in the device tree.
