PROFINET Device - Options

Object: PROFINET Device

On this tab, you define whether the device is configured by another controller and therefore is operated as a shared device.

In addition, you can define the neighboring devices and connection cable.

Shared device	: This device is configured by another controller. Modules that are used by the other controller must be deactivated by setting this option.
Peer station/port	Neighboring device with port that is connected to this port. You can accept this setting in the PROFINET Controller Topology tab.
Cable length	Length of the network cable (in meters) < 10 < 25 < 50 < 100 When a cable length is specified, it is checked when the controller is powered up. An incorrect cable length causes an error message.
MAU type	Type of network cable Copper Optical fiber When a cable type is specified, it is checked when the controller is powered up. An incorrect cable type causes an error message.
