Operating Modes

Overview of the Rotary Knife Process

In general, the rotary knife process is such that the slave axis returns to the rest position at every process cycle. For further information, refer to Profile of Master/Slave Positions with Rest Position.

With short process cycles, the slave does not return to the rest position but accelerates before reaching the rest position to start the next synchronous phase. For further information, refer to Profile of Master/Slave Positions without Rest Position.

This chapter provides further information on the process cycles depending on the selected operating mode (ET_OperatingMode). Additional functions are described in the section Functions for Operating Modes ContinuousWithCorrection and CutOnTouchProbe at the end of this chapter.
