GASKET AGING

oInspect the gasket periodically as required by your operating environment to keep the initial IP level.

oChange the gasket at least once a year, or as soon as scratches or dirt become visible.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.

Place the panel on a flat, level surface, with the display face pointing down.

Remove the gasket from the panel.

Attach the new gasket to the panel. Position the gasket in the installation groove so that the gasket seam is at the bottom of the panel. First, insert the gasket into the 4 corners, in the order shown in the image below. Then, insert the rest of the gasket into the installation groove.

NOTE:

oThe center of the panel bezel's installation groove is ribbed. Make sure you insert the gasket all the way in without catching the ribbed sections.

oWhen using a tool to insert the gasket, make sure the tool does not catch the rubber gasket and cause a tear.

The upper surface of the gasket should protrude approximately 2.0 mm (0.06 in.) from the groove. Check the gasket is inserted correctly before installing the HMIGTO into a panel.

CAUTION

EQUIPMENT DAMAGE

oSince the gasket is flexible but not elastic, be careful not to stretch it unnecessarily.

oMake sure the gasket seam is not inserted into any of the panel corners.

oInsert the gasket in the installation groove
