Devices with a wrong firmware is updated automatically.
The Fast Device Replacement is performed for the Schneider Electric devices which are in the configuration of the EcoStruxure Machine Expert project on the controller.
The parameter WorkingState of the devices has to have the value real/1 so that the Fast Device Replacement is performed for the device.
The Fast Device Replacement is performed, depending on the configuration, in the changeover from phase 1 to phase 2 of the Sercos III bus.
This changeover is displayed in the parameter State of the Sercos III interface.
The fast device replacement replaces the firmware of the Sercos III slave devices.
The firmware for the Sercos III slave devices is stored on the CF card (or SD card) of the controller and matches the firmware of the controller.

Fast device replacement can be performed for the Sercos III slave devices of Schneider Electric. External devices are not supported.
If fast device replacement is to be carried out, the addressing of the devices may not be performed via the serial number of the motor (SerialNumberMotor / 1).
