• Change the default password of 0 (zero) to help reduce unauthorized access.

Default account settings are often the source of unauthorized access by malicious users.

• View the Device Configuration Checklist to quickly determine if the default password is used:



• Use Advanced security mode.
• Use alphanumeric passwords with a length of six characters.
• Follow user account management tasks as described by your organization or contact your Network Administrator, for example, maximum password age or history policies.
