Use the fields at the top of the Count tab to Configure Common Point Properties. Fields that are specific to counter points are explained below.
- Channel Number—Only applies to Hardware I/O types. Use the Channel Number field to specify the channel number for the point, in the range 1 to 8.
- Data Type—Use this combo box to select the format of the raw data. The outstation uses the format to perform the appropriate calculations when converting the signals into engineering values and vice versa. Choose the format that relates to the counter equipment that you are using, for example, Unsigned 16 bit.
