Pan a Trend

You can use the 'Pan' feature to move along to a different set of data on a Trend, to show the data that is plotted before or after the currently displayed interval. This is a useful feature as it enables you to view data between two set intervals. For example, if the x-axis shows one hour from 09.25 to 10.25, the Previous Interval and Next Interval options only allow you to view 08.25-09.25 and 10.25-11.25 respectively. By using the Pan feature, you can view any hour’s worth of data, for example, you could pan the Trend so that it displays values for the time period 09.55 to 10.55.

The Pan feature is enabled on a Trend by default.

To pan to a previous or later interval on a Trend:

  1. Position the cursor over the main display area of the Trend.
  2. Press the left-hand mouse button. Keep the button pressed down.
The cursor changes to a hand icon Pointing Cursor. This indicates that you are in Pan mode.
  3. Drag the Trend's content to the left or right until the required time and values are displayed.
The Trend pans to the selected time.
  4. Release the left-hand mouse button.

Alternatively, on a touch screen, slide your finger or touch screen pen across the main display area of the Trend to pan to the interval that you want to view.

Pan mode is disabled if the Ruler or Zoom Box are selected. Deselect these tools to enable Pan mode.
