You can use the Configure Connections tool to change the configuration of an existing ViewX client - third-party OPC server connection. This is useful when you need to alter the way the client - OPC server connection works, for example, you may need to rectify a mistake such as having selected the wrong Type of OPC server.
To edit an existing ViewX client - third-party OPC server connection, on the ViewX client:
- In Windows, select the Start menu. Scroll down the alphabetical list of installed applications and expand the EcoStruxure Geo SCADA folder. Select the Configure Connections option (see Access and Use the Configure Connections Tool).
The Configure Connections tool runs. - Select the ViewX - third-party OPC server connection that you want to edit.
- Select the Edit button to display the Client Configuration window.
- Use the Client Configuration window to change the System Name, Type, Visible in ViewX and Node settings as required. For more information on these settings, Create a Connection between a ViewX Client and a Third-Party OPC Server.
