Supported Versions of AVEVA Applications with Historians

You use this driver to export Geo SCADA Expert historic data to a historian in an AVEVA application such as AVEVA Historian (formerly Wonderware Historian) or AVEVA Insight (formerly Wonderware Online). With most of the supported historians, the driver exports the historic data directly, however, to export historic data to AVEVA PI Server or CONNECT data services, the driver uses the AVEVA Adapter for Historic Data Export.

The earliest version of AVEVA Historian with which the driver is compatible is Wonderware Historian (AVEVA Historian) 2014 R2 SP1 Patch 02.

Except where stated otherwise for specific features, this driver supports functionality that is available in AVEVA Historian up to and including the following version:

Wonderware Historian (AVEVA Historian) 2017 Update 3

If you intend using the driver to export historic data to AVEVA PI Server or CONNECT data services, the following also applies:

The earliest version of AVEVA PI Web API that the driver supports is version 1.16
With that version of PI Web API:

• PI Data Archive 2018 SP3 Patch 3 (3.4.440.477) or later is recommended.

• PI AF Server 2018 SP3 Patch 3 (2.10.9.593) is recommended.

The AVEVA Historic Data Export driver provided with Geo SCADA Expert is designed to be forward compatible, so should also be able to interface with later versions of historians in supported AVEVA applications. For example, the driver is compatible with AVEVA Historian 2023.
