Define the Historic Life of Configuration Reports

During the configuration process, you might opt to import a configuration file from RemoteConnect, or upload the configuration from a SCADAPack x70 device into the associated Configuration items in the Geo SCADA Expert database. No report is generated whenever such an import or upload succeeds without issues. However, if an import or upload succeeds with warnings, or if Geo SCADA Expert is unable to import or upload configuration for a SCADAPack x70 Device, a configuration report is created. You can define how long Geo SCADA Expert retains the configuration reports online.

You use the Historic tab on the form of a SCADAPack x70 protocol-specific Outstation to define the historic life of configuration reports that are generated due to attempts to upload configuration from the SCADAPack x70 device into Geo SCADA Expert.

You use the Historic tab on the form of a SCADAPack x70 Device Configuration item to define the historic life of configuration reports that have been generated due to attempts to import configuration from RemoteConnect.

On both configuration forms, the Historic tab has one property:

  • Life—Use to specify the length of time for which Geo SCADA Expert will retain configuration reports online. The default is 4W (4 weeks). Enter the required interval in the OPC Time Format. You can enter the value directly in the field, or use the Interval window (accessed via the field's browse button) to specify the required value.
