Pan the Axes on an X-Y-Z Plot

You can use the Pan feature to move to a different region of any axis. The Pan feature maintains the current level of magnification, and is useful if you want to view the trace values on a different part of the X-Y-Z Plot.

To view a different part of the X-Y-Z Plot:

  1. Place the cursor over a part of the axis that does not contain a trace.
  2. Press the left mouse button and keep it held down.
The cursor changes to a 'hand' shape . This indicates that you are in Pan mode.
  3. While continuing to keep the button pressed down, 'drag' the cursor along the axis, in the required direction.
The region of the Plot that is on display changes in relation to the speed and direction in which you drag the cursor. The current zoom level is maintained.
  4. When you have finished panning the X-Y-Z Plot, release the mouse button.

With the Time axis, you can also pan that axis as follows:

  1. Right-click on the Time axis.
    A context-sensitive menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Pan option.
    A further menu is displayed.

  3. Select Previous Interval or Next Interval as required.

On a touch screen, you can slide your finger or touch screen pen across the axes of the X-Y-Z Plot to pan to the range of values that you want to view.
