Users Rights

Introduction

Users and Groups and Access Right tabs allows to manage user accounts, user access rights groups and the associated access rights, to control the access on projects. For more informations, refer to the EcoStruxure Machine Expert Programming Guide.

Login and passwords

Login and password are set by default, must be activated and can be reset as origin.

UNAUTHORIZED DATA AND/OR APPLICATION ACCESS

oSecure access to the FTP/Web/OPC-UA server(s) using User Rights.

oIf you do not enable User Rights, disable the server(s) to prevent any unwanted or unauthorized access to your application and/or data.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or equipment damage.

NOTE: After the user rights are activated, anonymous log in is no longer permitted by the controller.

NOTE: Only ASCII characters are supported by the controller.

Default users and groups

One user and two groups are set by default:

oUser: Administrator

oGroups: Administrator and Everyone

Access Rights

You can give Access Rights to groups.

You can allow the following operations through the access rights:

oVIEW

oMODIFY

oEXECUTE

oADD_REMOVE
