Lubricating a Lexium PAS4•B-Series with Roller Guide
The axis is lubricated with oil from a factory-prefilled internal reservoir. The carriage features two lubrication nipples at each side for lubrication. The guide rods of the rollers are lubricated and cleaned by oil-soaked lubrication elements.
The maintenance intervals at normal ambient conditions are indicated in the maintenance plan.
Shorten the indicated intervals accordingly in severe conditions or at the following influencing factors:
oDust and dirt particles
oHigh operating temperatures
oHeavy loads
oHeavy vibration
oPermanent short-distance positioning

NOTE: Use the oil lubrication gun for the following steps.

Press the nozzle in a right angle against one of the lubrication nipples (1) and inject the specified amount of lubricant. For the correct type and quantity of lubricant, refer to Lubrication Amount. NOTE: oWhen applying the lubricant, you must not exceed a maximum flow rate. Therefore, the minimum injection time of 5 seconds per lubrication gun stroke must be adhered to. oWait for at least 10 seconds between the strokes of the oil gun to allow the oil to penetrate the lubrication elements. ![]()

Repeat step 1 alternating for the first and the second lubrication nipple at one side of the carriage until you reach the specified number of strokes. |
