Maintenance Plan

Overview

The maintenance intervals may have to be adapted to the greatly varying service lives depending on the application.

For procedures to replace the different parts, refer to Replacing Parts.

Maintenance Schedule

Perform the following maintenance tasks only once:

Date

Action

Two months after the date of manufacturing (DOM)

oVerify the axis by visual inspection for any damage or missing parts. Especially moving parts and parts at risk for collisions such as carriage, contact plate, toothed belt, toothed belt tensioner, ball bearing of the toothed belt pulley, cover strip, cover strip clamp or mounting elements.

oVerify the tension of toothed belt and adjust it, if necessary.

Perform the following maintenance tasks within the stated intervals:

Interval

Action

Every 400 hours of operation

or

every month

oClean the axis, if necessary.

oLubricate the guide system, if necessary.

Every 1,000 hours of operation

or

every three months

For PAS4•BR / PAS4•HR:

oClean the axis.

oLubricate the roller guide

Every 2,000 hours of operation

or

every six months

oClean the axis.

oVerify the toothed belt abrasion and replace it, if necessary.

oVerify the tension of toothed belt and adjust it, if necessary.

oVerify the axis by visual inspection for any damage or missing parts. Especially moving parts and parts at risk for collisions such as carriage, contact plate, toothed belt, toothed belt tensioner, ball bearing of the toothed belt pulley, cover strip, cover strip clamp or mounting elements.

oVerify the sensors for functionality.

oVerify the guide system for unusual noises. If unusual noises occur, refer to Troubleshooting.

oVerify all parts for bolted connections.

oFor PAS4•BB / PAS4•HB: lubricate the recirculating ball bearing guide

oFor PAS4•BR / PAS4•HR: lubricate the roller guide

Annually

or

after an uncontrolled stop (stop category 0)

oVerify the brake function during operations. For further information, refer to the corresponding motor manual of the optionally pre-installed Schneider Electric motor.

Every 20,000 hours of operation

oReplace the optionally pre-installed Schneider Electric motor.

Every 30,000 hours of operation

oReplace the optionally pre-installed Schneider Electric gearbox.

Every four years after the date of manufacturing (DOM)

oReplace the toothed belt as a precautionary measure.

oSuggestion: Replace the toothed belt pulleys when replacing the toothed belt.

NOTE: The gearbox (optional equipment) and the ball bearings are lubricated for life.
