Configuring BACnet/IP using ION Setup
Use ION Setup to configure BACnet/IP.
Prerequisites:
- Firmware version 4.6.0 or later.
- Communication configuration security access.
- The BBMD address when using foreign device mode. If you do not know the BBMD address, contact your local network administrator.
-
Read, understand, and implement relevant cybersecurity mitigation strategies outlined in Security risks and mitigation strategies and System defense-in-depth assumptions.
If your BACnet network uses BBMDs, ensure that you understand how to help mitigate risk in your network. BBMDs allow broadcast messages to traverse IP routers.
