Enable and configure HSTC logging
HSTC logging is enabled when HSTC alarms are enabled. Use the default settings or make changes based on your system needs.
Changing your meter’s HSTC logging configuration deletes all existing data log and waveform records.

Ensure that all important data and waveforms have been recorded before configuring the data and waveform recorders.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in data loss.
Enabling HSTC logging
The HSTC logging function is enabled with HSTC alarms.
See “Enable and configure HSTC alarms” for instructions on how to enable or disable the HSTC alarms.
Configuring HSTC logging using ION Setup
Configure data set and waveform logging using ION Setup.
To set different conditions:
- Open ION Setup and select the Setup Assistant for your meter.
- Click Power Quality > HSTC logging.
- Select the data log and click Edit.
The HSTC Logging Wizard displays
- Set the Data Set Depth to the number of records to keep
- Click Next.
ION Setup prompts you if the number of records exceeds file size limits. Enter a lower number, then click Next to proceed.
- Set the waveform storage Log Depth to the number of waveforms to keep. The total duration of log storage
in milliseconds (ms) is displayed consistent with the Log
Depth setting.
ION Setup prompts you if the Log Depth setting exceeds the recommended memory allocation.
- Click Finish to return to the HSTC Logging tab.
