Linking data recorder inputs

Use linking to configure data recorder inputs. See Downloading data recorder logs before configuring a data recorder; configuration changes will delete all recorded data.

 

Prerequisites:

• Open the device table of contents
• Connect to your device

To link data recorder inputs:

1. Select Logging > Data Recorders.
2. Go to the data recorder to which you want to add links.
3. Under Actions select to open the Select Input menu.
4. Go to an available Input that you want to link.

Tip: Turn on Hide Linked Inputs to see only the available data recorder inputs.

5. Under Actions select to open the Link Parameters menu.
6. To link a single input:
   1. Choose the parameter that you want to record and then select Link.
7. To link multiple available consecutive inputs:
   1. Turn on Link Multiple.
   2. Choose the parameters that you want to record and then select Link.

   Note: Link Multiple is only available if there is at least one consecutive available input. For example, if you selected Source 5, and Source 6 and Source 7 were also available, you could turn on Link Multiple and then choose three parameters to link to those inputs.

   Tip: Hover over the right side of the Parameters heading and then select to search for a specific parameter.

   
8. Select Apply.
9. Select Save Working Copy.
10. Synchronize changes.
