Configure the SCADAPack x70 Server Settings

Some driver-specific settings need configuring on the server by a system administrator when a system is first installed. These settings are configured using the Geo SCADA Expert Server Configuration tool. With systems on which the SCADAPack x70 driver is installed,the Global Parameters branch of the Server Configuration tool includes a SCADAPack x70 entry. Select the entry to display the SCADAPack x70 section, which includes a Create Modbus Point Scanners Automatically check box.

Use this check box to configure the default option for the Create Automatically option in the Modbus Point Scanners Settings (see Configure Modbus Point Scanners Settings). The option applies whenever a new SCADAPack x70 Modbus Server Device is created. This includes whenever new SCADAPack x70 Modbus Server Device(s) are created during an import/upload.

This setting is enabled by default on new installations. The setting is disabled by default when upgrading from Geo SCADA Expert 2022 or earlier, to maintain consistency with existing Modbus devices already in the database.
