Specify the Server Settings for the AVEVA Adapter for Historic Data Export

You can optionally configure the AVEVA Historic Data Export driver in Geo SCADA Expert to export historic data to AVEVA PI Server or CONNECT data services (see Specify the Connection Mode). To facilitate this, Geo SCADA Expert uses the AVEVA Adapter for Historic Data Export to connect to the historian application. With such a setup, a system administrator should specify the required server settings for the AVEVA Adapter when the driver is first installed. To do this, display the AVEVA Historic Data Export section of the Global Parameters branch in the Geo SCADA Expert Server Configuration Tool (see Accessing the Geo SCADA Expert Server Configuration Tool). Use the properties within the AVEVA Adapter for Historic Data Export section to specify the required settings.

  • Port—Enter the port that the AVEVA Adapter is to use. The default port number is 32561.

  • Configuration Folder—Enter the full pathname of the folder that you want the AVEVA Adapter to use to store the JSON configuration that it reads on startup. Use the Browse button to search for and then select a folder. The default pathname is:

    C:\ProgramData\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA\AVEVA_Adapter_Configuration

To configure the settings that appear in the files that are stored in this folder, we recommend that you use the Server Configuration Tool to specify the required settings and then deploy those changes (see Specify the Connection Parameters for AVEVA PI Server or CONNECT data services).
