Troubleshooting Historic Data Export Operation
The topics in this section provide information to help you monitor and diagnose the operation of the AVEVA Historic Data Export driver. For more information, see the topics that are listed in the gray footer section at the bottom of this topic. Select the relevant entry to display the topic that you require.
You can perform the following checks:
- Check the Log Viewer on the main Geo SCADA Expert server. The Log Viewer is installed at the same time as the AVEVA Historic Data Export driver on the Geo SCADA Expert servers. To access the Log Viewer, run the program aaLogViewer.exe on the main Geo SCADA Expert server. The file is installed at the following location by default:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Archestra
The log shows what HCAL has done.
- Check whether points and accumulators in the Geo SCADA Expert database are configured to enable Geo SCADA Expert to Synchronize Deletion (see Configure an AVEVA Historic Data Export Item). When enabled, whenever an obsolete point or accumulator is deleted from the Geo SCADA Expert database, Geo SCADA Expert will also delete the corresponding tag in the historian.
For more information, see the information about the historian in the documentation supplied with the relevant AVEVA application.
