PCS Subscriptions

This section is only available in the tool if the OPC UA Server & PCS Service feature is installed. The feature is only available for installation if the required prerequisite components are installed on the Geo SCADA Expert server (see Geo SCADA Expert Prerequisite Components).

The Server branch of the Server Status Tool includes a PCS Subscriptions category. This category provides status information about the server-wide PCS Subscriptions that apply to this Geo SCADA Expert server.

Subscription requests are received through the iData interface in the PCS Service, the PCS Service then subscribes to the Geo SCADA Expert database (see OPC UA Server & PCS Service Settings).

NOTE: An OPC UA client or server can also use the PCS Service to subscribe to database items in the Geo SCADA Expert database.

The PCS Subscriptions category provides information about each subscribed database item:

  • Id—Indicates the identifying number of the subscribed Geo SCADA Expert database item.
  • Buffered—Indicates whether a subscribed database item is buffered.
  • Tag Count—Indicates the number of tags that are subscribed to from the database item (see PCS Tags).
