Configuring a serial port for GPS time synchronization

Ensure you maintain sufficient access to communicate with and configure your device.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in loss of access to the device.
To configure a serial port for GPS time synchronization:
- Select > > > .
- Go to the port receiving GPS time messages (COM1 or COM4).
- Select the Protocol that your GPS receiver uses.
- Select the Baud Rate.
Recommedation: Use a Baud Rate of 19200 bps.
- Select the Serial Port data format.
Recommedation: Set the Serial Port to 8N1.
- Enter the remaining Serial communication settings.
- Select Save Working Copy.
- Synchronize changes.
