Reset 2FA Enrollment

This pick action is only available on User Accounts that are configured for two-factor authentication (see Use Two-Factor Authentication with Geo SCADA Expert).

Use the Reset 2FA Enrollment pick action to reset a user's enrollment in situations such as:

  • If the user's enrollment period has expired and they are no longer able to enroll. If the TOTP enrollment period has expired, it may have disabled the User Account. After resetting the 2FA enrollment, it may also be necessary to re-enable the user account.
  • If the user no longer has access to the device that contains their current Authenticator enrollment. (For example, the device is broken, or has been lost or stolen.)
  • To allow the user to enroll on a new device, on a system on which User-initiated re-enrollment is not available (see Specify the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Enrollment Properties).
