Editing users

LOSS OF ACCESS

  • Record the device username and password in a secure location.

  • Ensure that the password you set is compatible with:

    • The device front panel.

    • Any software used to communicate with the device.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in loss of access to the device and data on the device.

 

To edit a user:

  1. Select Device Management > Privacy and Security > Users.
  2. Select Manage Users and then select the user that you want to edit.
  3. (Optional) Edit the user Description.
  4. (Optional) Enter and then confirm a new Password.
  5. (Optional) Adjust the User Privileges.

    Note: Users cannot change their own privileges.

  6. Select Save Working Copy.
  7. Synchronize changes.
